Plans have changed a little, the shop will remain open which is a good thing. I have been working with raw hides, skinning and learning the art of tanning. I have learned quickly that the process is hard, messy and extremely stinky...but as most challenges are, its rewarding when completed successfully. I have done 3 hides now, one straight from an unfortunate groundhog that kept eating the family garden... I didn't want to waste the poor fellow so I researched tanning and many hours later, I skinned, and tanned my first raw hide. Shop additions to come: Real fur pouches, cuffs... Wow! I am very excited to post the pics of one of our customers guitar with our custom pick guard. They took pretty good photos too I might add They were also very nice to work with and we ended up making the Henna style pick guard exceed her expectations. It's in the gallery of you want to see it.
